Mountain Biker Endurance Athlete

Adam Prosise

Hey there, my name is Adam Prosise and I live in Boulder Colorado. I’m 27 years old and love to get out and ride. I work at Reeb Cycles building some of the most fun bikes around. I race in the Pro category for Team Rudeboy out of Denver, CO.

Rachel  Goldschmid

I live in Phoenix with my dog April. When I'm not racing cross country I like to ride in Sedona, and I also backpack in the Grand Canyon a few times a year. Phoenix is a great home base for traveling around Arizona and the rest of the southwest to ride bikes and explore. I'm thrilled to see where this year takes me.

Baylee Snead

Baylee lives in Brevard, North Carolina where she spends all the time she can on her mountain bike exploring the trails of Pisgah National Forest. An avid cyclist who enjoys all disciplines of riding, Baylee competes in endurance mountain bike events, races enduro, and has plans to race downhill this season. Being someone who loves challenges, Baylee devotes hours to cranking out miles, kills herself in the gym, and psyches herself up to hit big drops and go as fast as possible to push her limits and become the best cyclist she can be. When she is not riding, you can usually find Baylee building trails in her backyard, in the rock-climbing gym, hiking up a mountain, or covered in bike grease somewhere working on her bikes.

Gayle Connell

My name is Gayle Connell and I like to ride bikes. Well, there are lots of things I like (my husband, my kids, snowboarding, surfing, blah blah blah), but riding my bike ranks pretty far at the top. I started racing a few years ago and love being a part of an all-women’s team (go Naked Women’s Cycling)! The entire Colorado cycling community is pretty awesome and I love being a part of it!  P.S. I turn 40 this year...more to come on that!

Gregg Marioni

I like to ride things with two wheels. I’ve been racing road bikes at the amateur level for years. But I also like to ride in the dirt! The last few years I have been doing more CX/gravel events to mix it up

Rebecca Gross

Rebecca is a cyclocross and mountain bike athlete based in Golden, CO half the year with the other half spent traveling, racing and living out of her van. Rebecca has been racing for nearly twenty years and loves the excuse to seek out new trails, meet new people, and explore unfamiliar areas by racing in places she’s never been. Rebecca is the former cyclocross masters world champion and has three national titles to her name.  More recently Rebecca finished out the 2017-2018 cyclocross season with a top ten in the elite field.

Kyle Trudeau

My name is Kyle Trudeau and I was born and raised in Tucson, AZ. Growing up I always rode bicycles and raced motocross for 11 years before making the switch to cycling full-time four years ago. I moved up from my first mountain bike race in 2013 to my first professional season in 2015 and have enjoyed every aspect of it. Outside of racing and training I enjoy riding my dirt bike, hiking and spending time with family.

Elaine Stanton

I am an HR specialist at an outdoor company with a intense love for my mountain bike. As a previous distance runner from Idaho, when I moved to Arizona and discovered the joys of rocky ascents and descents from the height of my saddle, I knew there was no going back. I love all things nutrition and do a bit of health coaching when I'm not racing on the weekends. One of my favorite things is a good cup of bulletproof coffee.

Nadia Porter

I am a marathon runner recently turned triathlete. My father introduced me to endurance sports as a young girl and they have been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. Currently, I'm taking advantage of the gorgeous Miami weather to train for my first Ironman 70.3! On any given day you can find me swimming, biking or running along the oceanfront.

Matty Cusack

Matty Cusack is a NW road racer, as well as a teacher, father, coach, and ex-chef (now just a personal chef to family and friends). When not working as a middle school special education teacher, he is often out racing his bike all over the Northwest with high ambitions of becoming a Cat 2 road racer this upcoming season (2 points shy). 2018 has lots of fun on tap from Stage races to epic Gravel fun.

 Crystal Anthony

Crystal Anthony grew up in Massachusetts where she developed a love of outdoor adventure and competition alongside her 6 younger brothers and sisters.  She has raced everything from marathons to half Ironmen to mountain bike stage races to cyclocross, and is a 3-time US Cylocross World Championship team member.  When she’s not out for a ride or a run, you can likely find her in the kitchen experimenting with new recipes. Recently, she transitioned from 12+ years of middle school teaching to endurance sport coaching and running combo mountain bike skill and healthy eating clinics, and loves helping others pursue their athletic goals.

Chad Jarrett

After 16 Ironman race under my belt and 7 World Championships in Kona I made a transition to XC and endurance mountain biking event 5 years ago.  I am currently racing CAT 1 in the 45-49 age group with the Baghouse Mountain Bike Team in Orange County.  My speciality is the long distance events such as the Leadville 100.  My wife Jasmene and I own a physical therapy practice in California and have 2 daughters, Makena and Malia.

Mindi Hoffmaster

I am an endurance mountain and gravel rider, and have been active competitively (whatever that means; I am really in it for the beer) for about 20 years.  Whenever you see me out, you will recognize the pink helmet and big smile on my face!

I love to do anything outdoors, and spend most of my time in the mountains when I am not working.  I am mom to 3 fur babies, and love to cook, love me a good IPA, and cupcakes!

I try to volunteer at least 4 times a year in the mountain biking community whether that be volunteering at a race or trail work (getting better about that one,) as I want to give back to the community and great sport that has given so much to me.

Dustin Musgrave

Hello my name is Dustin Musgrave and I reside in Chicago. I have been in the cycling scene for about 10 years now and commit most of my time to criterium's and road races. I race for and help manage INTENT Cycling Team based out of Chicago. In my free time I manage my candle company, Wolf Bone Candles and also love to create new dishes in the kitchen!

David Krimstock

I am an endurance mountain bike athlete based out of Carbondale, Colorado with a focus on 100-mile races. Growing up in Boulder, CO, I’ve had a passion for athletic and outdoor pursuits all my life. I enjoy every aspect of mountain bike racing, and I’ve found that nutrition is one of the most important pieces. The journey I have taken in the sport has been an incredible experience and has shown that hard work and dedication produces results I would never have dreamed of.

Leigh Bowe

Leigh Bowe has been riding bikes for longer than she can remember; as a child, her mother strapped her onto the front of a bicycle to get from place to place. These days she races enduro and endurance mountain biking. She also dabbles in ski-mountaineering and loves a good dance party. As a family nurse practitioner, she believes in taking care of her body so that she can continue to stay healthy and active. She loves Enduro Bites for the taste, quality ingredients, and the real food that goes into each morsel.

Steven Peace

I am 43 years old. I was a healthy, U.S. Navy Officer and a bicyclist, riding 200 miles a week. However, on October 16, 2006, one month before my fourth deployment to Iraq/Afghanistan in five years, a massive stroke hit my brain and body leaving me unable to speak, use my arm, or walk independently. What made it worse was that I lived alone. Luckily, a shipmate found me, fourteen hours later, when I didn’t show up on the ship. Among the things I had to give up, was the Navy, which I had been in for 16 years. I was medically retired as a Lieutenant Commander with an honorable discharge.

Now I find myself in the new World of Para-cycling.  I have won Para-Cycling US Nationals (8), medaled in UCI World Cups (25), and competed in UCI World Championships (7).  In the 2012 Paralympic Games London, I placed 5th and 7th… and that is just the beginning.    When not racing or riding, I can be found with the grassroots of my coaching business, as a USAC Level 2 Coach. Peace Cycling Performance has taken off to great success. Currently, PCP includes 6 National, 1 UCI World Champion, and 3 Paralympians .   This year also held a surprise for me.  A teammate presented me with the Order of Ikkos medal.  This award is given by a Paralympic medalist to a coach/mentor to recognize the difference they make in the sport.  This was a once-in-a-lifetime presentation that I could not have been happier to receive.

Sharon lives by Go Big and #doepicshit and as appropriate to this approach Sharon makes it her goal to sign up for the most illogical events and races that a flatlander and sea level dweller shouldn’t do. Richard Kowalczyk

I began serious cycling at the age of 4 when Santa delivered my first bike.  Since then, I have progressed to BMX, Road, MTB, and now CX forms of cycling.  As a full time Prison Chaplain, I am always finding innovative ways to train for something.  Whether it is for the Leadville 100MTB, the Belgium Waffle Ride, or the California Death Ride, distance and intensity are my goals.

Bob Bogart

Bob is a roadie, rides about 100 plus miles a week, all year, as long as the temperature is 38+ and the sun is out, which is usually the case in Santa Fe, where being at 7000 feet helps with solar warming.  We have a group called Seniors On Bikes and we meet 3x per week to ride in up to 5 different groups of 15 to 20 riders based on ability .  Bob has been riding for 20 years, but has ramped up his yearly mileage since moving to Santa Fe and retiring.  Before Santa Fe, Bob rode numerous century rides around the Bay Area and the Sierra foothills in Nor Cal.

Cameron Wilson

After my University career in track and field, I transitioned to long distance running and cycling, now concentrating on the ultra-endurance events.  I am the head coach of the University of Algoma Thunderbirds XC running team as well as the head strength and conditioning coach for the varsity programs.  I am a teacher at a local high school and a coach at Catalyst Crossfit in Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario, Canada.  I have recently been competing in ultramarathon races, 100-mile mtb races in Michigan, CrossFit competitions and recently signed up for America's Toughest Mudder in June.

Mark Deaton

Growing up and living in North Carolina provides the perfect canvas for forested trail exploration.  I fell in love with mountain biking around 2001 and the lifestyle is now a major part of my everyday life.  Today you can find me seeking backcountry mountain adventures with my life partner/one-and-only co-ed duo racing teammate Sandy Marshall.  Of course Rennie and Diana, our two German Shorthaired Pointers are always close behind.

Lisa Hilleren

I've been a cyclist for a long time, but have only been competing for the last two years. Whether it's an ultra-long road ride, hilly gravel race, or 30-minute crit, my goal is always to push myself and show myself what I can do. When I'm not riding, I'm usually trying to convince someone else to try a new kind of cycling. As I've learned first hand, you never know until you try it!

Lucas Borkowski

Lucas Borkowski is an avid cyclist from the Kansas City area who enjoys exploring, riding and racing on all types of bicycles. His favorite mountain bike trails include BuRP (Blue River Park) and Swope in Kansas City along with anything in northwest Arkansas. Lucas started racing bicycles at the amateur level in 2014. He is currently training for the 2018 season to include the Ouachita Challange, Marathon Mountain Bike National Championship and Half Growler."

Colin Stokes

The bike as a vehicle for discovery has always been a core part of my DNA; from growing up in the shadow of Stonehenge in the UK, to my current home in Southern California. After my first 200 mile bike race I became an instant endurance junkie:  chasing new multi-day ultra-races around the globe in California, Nevada, Oregon, Texas, Utah, France, Italy, & Switzerland. My two-wheeled passion isn’t solely about pinning on a number and racing 500-1,000 miles continuously to some arbitrary finish line at Hoodoo500, Race Across Oregon, Furnace Creek 508, Silver State 508, Race Across the West, No Country for Old Men, Paris-Brest-Paris, Haute Route, etc.; but also exploring new climbs and distant horizons and making new friends around the block and around the world; and finally using the bike to raise funds for charities.

Jason Koehn

I'm a 45-year-old married guy with a mortgage, career, and kids. But I also spend every spare moment I have on two wheels in the dirt! I grew up in the Pacific Northwest in the 80's racing motocross and riding BMX freestyle, but these days I ride and race mountain bikes every chance I get. To me, riding is much more than something I do on the weekends - it is a huge part of what makes me who I am.

Melissa Zammit

Melissa Zammit is an avid cyclist from Oak Park Illinois.  When she is not bicycle commuting to work she is spending time riding with her friends in the Oak Park Cycle Club and with her Team Intent racing team.  Her passions include cyclocross racing and supporting others in their personal cycling goals.  This year she plans on trying gravel racing and continuing to spend her time supporting and encouraging cycling in the Chicagoland area.

Jose Laureano

Born and raised in Puerto Rico. Moved to California in 2005. I am married and have two boys and three German Shepherds. I work as a Business intelligent analyst for Medtronic and in my spare time I focus on training for XC races, cyclocross and road races. This year I am challenging myself to do a few Xterra trail run races.

 Heidi Coulter

I love sharing my passion for mountain biking and spreading the joy I have found through riding! I've been mountain biking and racing for over 15 years and have been instructing clinics for 4 years.   I'm the head Dirt School Instructor and President of the Central Ohio Mountain Bike Organization.  This year I am focusing on endurance mountain bike racing and will be competing in 100-mile mountain bike races all over the United States.  I know Enduro Bites and Betared are not only going to get me to the finish line but will help me train strong and compete at my best!

 Chris Chapline

Chris Chapline calls sunny Florida home.  As a full-time caregiver, Chris uses endurance activities to release and recharge.  Running the trails near her home, cycling with her sister, fitness training, and cracking jokes are her methods of choice.  Due to early morning and late night training, Chris has become an avid photographer of sunrises and sunsets.

Nancy Kelly

I am the Founder & CEO of the Dirt Divas, a women's only mountain bike club/race team based out of Golden, CO. My desire has always been to mentor and encourage women in the sport. I've worked in the Cycling Industry for many years and have shop experience as a Manager and as a Bike Fitter. My favorite type of riding has to be Enduro. There is nothing that puts a smile on my face more than the reward of flying down technical terrain after a stiff climb!
